Ok, since I am a huuuge fan of practical creature fx, this really has caught my attention: Amalgamated Dynamics, the Studio that brought you the Xenomorphs from Alien and other iconic movie creatures have started a movie project on their own, called Harbinger Down. Now, what's so special about this you may ask now? (Besides the fact that the guys from ADI are amazing?) This movie will be an all practical fx and animatronics film. No cgi. Just animatronics, miniatures and amazing creatures. The team behind the film consists of 10 Oscar nominees, and 4 winnners and the project was started by Alec Gillis, a renowned creature fx designer who has worked on various famous movies such as Alien vs. Predator, Tremors, Alien and Evolution. The problem now is that they still did not reach their desired funding goal! So if you are a scif-fi/horror movie fan, a fellow mask maker or special effects artist or would just love to see an amazing movie with no cgi (not saying that cgi is bad here P: ) PLEASE go and back their project!
